The one-day SSP: Health & Safety Awareness course is designed for anyone entering the construction and civil engineering industry and looking to gain accreditation with a Green Labourer CSCS Card.
The course offers an introduction to essential health and safety issues when working on site and will provide you with the information you need to identify potential hazards in a construction environment.
All course material is delivered in a classroom-based environment by an industry expert. There will be a mix of individual study and group work, and the final assessment will be based on a combination of your participation in group activities, your performance in an individual or group presentation, and your score on a multiple choice exam.
This course is designed for anyone entering the construction or civil engineering industry. No prior knowledge or experience is required to take part in the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded with a CITB Site Safety Plus Certificate. Once you have achieved certification, you will be eligible to take the two-day Site Supervisor's Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).

No prior experience or knowledge is required in order to take part in the course. You should have a fluent command of both written and spoken English.
