The Black CSCS Card is the final card in the hierarchy of NVQ dependent CSCS Cards. The card is designed for managers on construction sites. In order to qualify for this card you must have achieved a level 4, 5, 6, 7 SVQ or NVQ certification in management in a construction environment and the CIOB L4 Diploma in site management.
To qualify for a Black CSCS Card you will also have to sit and pass a Managerial and Professional Health, Safety & Environment Test.
In order to qualify for the Black CSCS Card you are required to pass the Managerial and Professional (MAP) CSCS Health, Safety & Environment Test.
This CSCS Test is specifically tailored to the health and safety demands that are specific to managers.
To get a Black CSCS Card you must also have a Construction NVQ of at least level 4.
You can book a MAP CSCS Test or apply for a Construction NVQ if required.
If you wish to work at a construction manager you will be required to have a Black CSCS Card.
The Black CSCS Card displays a photograph of you, your name and your CSCS Registration number.
Modern smartcards also contain a chip with other personal details and information about the construction qualifications you have.
